Hear your chapter read aloud while each word is highlighted. Skip ahead a sentence, or click anywhere to continue from there. Press Ctrl+Alt+Space to start.

QuillSpace reads a chapter aloud, highlighting each word. A click on a later paragraph moves the reading there, then Next sentence skips ahead.

Import from audio

Turn a voice memo into a new sheet. Transcription runs on your PC, and your audio never leaves it. Included in paid plans.

The microphone button opens Import from Audio. A recording is chosen and transcribed, and the text appears in a new sheet.

Version History

Save a version of a sheet before a big rewrite, preview any saved version, and restore it in one click. Your current text is saved first, so nothing is lost.

The opening sentence of a chapter is rewritten, then Version History opens, an older version is previewed and restored.

QuillSpace now has a native Mac app on the Mac App Store. It brings the same way of organizing a book to macOS:

• A three-pane workspace: groups on the left, sheets in the middle, editor on the right
• Groups and sub-groups nested as deep as you need, with drag to reorder
• A visual editor with Focus mode and Typewriter mode
• Automatic snapshots of your work, so you can always go back
• Word-count goals and PDF export
• Fully offline, everything stored locally on your Mac, no account required

The Mac app is a free download with a one-time lifetime purchase (see pricing). It is a separate app from QuillSpace for Windows and is purchased separately.

Nested Groups

Organize your sheets with sub-groups for a cleaner, more structured sidebar. Right-click any group and select "Add Sub-Group" to create a group inside it. Use the arrow icon to expand and collapse groups, keeping your workspace tidy as your project grows. Nesting works at any depth: create as many levels as you need.

Better Group Management

• Quick add: Hover over the "Groups" header in the sidebar to reveal a + button for instantly adding a new group.
• Cleaner display: Long group names are now neatly truncated with an ellipsis, and hovering shows the full name in a tooltip. No more awkward scrollbars.
• Sub-group aware delete: Deleting a parent group will also remove its sub-groups. Sheets are safely moved to Ungrouped Sheets.
